Chilli Con Carne.

INGREDIENTS
1 lb minced beef
1 large onion
(peeled and chopped)
1 medium carrot
(peeled and chopped)
2 oz tomato puree
1 large tin chopped tomatoes
¾ pint water
1 oz flour
½ - 1 oz chilli powder
(depends how hot you want it!)
1 large tin red kidney beans
¼ lb mixed peppers
(diced)
Pinch of mixed herbs
Salt and Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a large saucepan dry fry the mince and onion.
Add tomato (tin and puree), chilli powder, water, carrot, salt and pepper, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add the beans and peppers and cook for a further 15 minutes.
Check for seasoning and add more if required. thicken with the flour and simmer for another 2 - 3 minutes.
Serve with rice, jacket potato or chips.
