I would love to but there are a few of stumbling blocks to that:
- Size. I currently have over 20GB (yes, Giga bytes) of user and/or service manuals and/or schematics for radios and other amateur radio equipment. That's a lot of (and potentially expensive) web space.
- Indexing. I've not got them all "sorted out" and indexed yet (over 7000 documents, some may be "doubles") and more are added to my collection as I find them. This will take a lot of time.
- Legal Issues. Most manuals, if not all, are, strictly speaking, the copyright of the original manufacturer. I know of one site that was told by a manufacturer to remove all the manuals for that brand (or, presumably, dire consequences would befall the site owner).
So to sum up:
Due to space, time, money and legal reasons, no, I won't be adding a Manuals section. However, if you can't find the owner/service manual (or schematic) for your rig by all means drop me a line giving make and model and I'll have a look through what I've got and let you have a copy if I have it. Can't say fairer than that, can I?
