Ah, I'm glad you asked me that. I do sometimes spell check but I often in a bit of a rush so if it looks right (see Word Research) I'll let it go at that. Spell checking doesn't always work though, see Spell Checked Poem.
I'm not trying to excuse myself but I do suffer from Dyslexia, also my fingers are too slow for my brain sometimes and I am thinking halfway through the next word (or 2) before my fingers have finished the last one. That can make interesting reading when my fingers "skip a bit" to catch up! (I nearly always notice when this happens and rectify it).
Also please bear in mind that I am not, in any way, a professional "word smith", this is just a sideline to a hobby. I do use a little prog called Clever Keys. It is free software that runs in the background and, when you highlight a word and press "CTRL & L" keys, provides instant access to the spelling and definition at various online sources for words that I am unsure of.
