Our New Home.
By Brian MW0GKX.

As reported in the News section of this site, Highfields A.R.C. is on the move again. From Friday 19th October 2007 our new home will be at the St Philip Evans Church Hall, Llanederyn Drive, Maelfa, Llanederyn, CARDIFF. CF23 9UL .

Located to the northeast of Cardiff, just off the A48. See: location page for a local map and a link to the bus time table for the services that go past the door.

With a proper car parking area (down the driveway and turn left), tables and chairs laid out ready, kitchen facilities, heating, disabled access and facilities, this recently built hall seems to be a step in the right direction.

We already have provisional permission for the erection of an antenna and room is being 'sorted' for the shack, all this before we have even moved in seems to hold well for the future.

Regular visitors to the scout hut will appreciate the parking difficulties there and the fact that the hut was not exactly 'disabled friendly', coupled with still awaiting decisions about the antenna and shack made life difficult for a Radio Club to uphold the Radio side of things.
