Battery Details.
Don't confuse these with the C battery as these are twice the voltage in the same sized package.
Using of one of these in place of a 1.5 volt battery could damage your equipment.
About the Chemistry:
NOTE: These Lithium types are NOT rechargeable, they are single use batteries.
- Lithium Manganese Dioxide (LiMnO2) suitable for high current drain e.g. torches and radio control uses.
- Lithium Sulpher Dioxide (Li/SO2) suitable for high current drain e.g. torches and radio control uses.
- Lithium Thionyl Chloride (LiSocl2) suitable for low drain e.g. memory back-up, smoke detectors etc.
Some Lithium Thionyl Chloride (LiSocl2) are "Spiral Wound" construction and are suited to high current drain (designated by the suffix "M", i.e. ER*****M).
You can use any of the high drain types to replace a low drain LiSocl2 but don't try to replace the high drain types with a low drain LiSocl2 or explosion due to overheating could occur.
